This was the first big raid on Cardiff. It was precisely a year after the war started. Angus St, Arabella St, Moy Rd, Alfred St, Woodville Rd and Claude Place were all bombed. 10 H.E. bombs and some incendiary bombs were used. 10 people were killed and 12 were seriously injured. The raid began at 9:30 pm. Street numbers that were definitely hit are 1-9 Angus St. PERSONAL MEMORY "My family were in the shelter and I had just joined them when there was an explosion.
